  • RDDT has gone from 200M to 800M of revenue in the past 4 years, it's likely to become one of the best tools for advertisers to target specific niches which is what made Facebook (META) and Google Search such powerhouses.
  • Is it up since launch only a year ago?
  • Is it consuming money still at this point?
  • If you google any question with "Reddit" do you get a ton of helpful and useful results?
  • I'm bullish on Reddit, assuming they continue to get execution right I'm thinking this could be a 10Y hold stock for me.

  • Reddit and all the niche subreddits will still widely be used and necessary.
  • Until then RDDT will out pace that thought and hold a competitive advantage.

  • You think tech unicorns just easily IPO nilly willy in TODAYS environment??
  • Tech IPOs nowadays are heavily heavily evaluated by the underwriters, VC etc before they get the green light - there is almost always a game changer for the company that is putting out an IPO in the very near term horizon to send it's growth trajectory to the moon
  • Most of this regarded sub was bearish on RDDT too cause "20 years of unprofit wahhh wahh" - you guys were too blinded to realize that there was a reason they went IPO after 20 fuckin years and missed the train when the cards were revealed.

  • Twitter is commercially risky, unpredictable and boycotted, Facebook is used predominantly by older people so it's a risky long term play, Snap is not used by many old or young people, just a slither in between (yet still delivers huge revenue), Instagram is the opposite of Reddit (image based showing off vs anonymous information based).
  • Our society is becoming less bound by Age & Gender defining behaviour alongside the rising trend of Privacy based protections such as GDPR in Europe or at state level in California.
  • It's the safest and most future proof place to park money if you want exposure to Social which is where people spend a huge chunk of their Phone time.
  • An issue social media companies have had historically is their rise and fall as new generations choose other formats, MySpace, Bebo etc made investors nervous.
  • Reddit has cross generational appeal, a very reassuring/established long history compared to other social businesses, and it continues to grow and outperform most of the market on growth and revenue performance.

  • FSLY / NET / OKTA / DDOG / SNOW / CRM and also a huge bag of RDDT - despite RDDT having had a huge run already I think it's doing another 2x in 2025.
  • Not doing a ton of short term / ER type of plays at the moment as the field is still somewhat uncertain for it to be anything other than gambling with those.

  • I know I spend 8 hours a day every day on it and all my friends search for any problem they have on it.
  • And I know it's the 6th most visited site in the world.
  • I know they still haven't cracked advertising yet.
  • And I know its potential for growth outside of the US is astronomical.BUT WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY RDDT.

  • It's never too late to buy a great stock; over time they keep adding value.
  • Their advertising revenue is somewhat small relative to their valuation.
  • I've read many articles suggesting RDDT as an AI play.
  • In other words, quality of data is at best questionable.
  • A stock can run up based on potential and user growth and popularity - but then come crashing down when they don't have a reliable business model.

  • compare market cap to other similarly sized social media companies.
  • RDDT: 10B (it'd IPO'd at 6.5B lol), PINS: 24B, MTCH (aka tinder, okcupid, and hinge): 10B, SNAP: 18.5B.
  • It's really not that hard too see why it had room to go up from it's initial IPO valuation - you can easily argue it's more valuable than all of these companies.
  • nearly half their operating expenses is going to RnD ($440m) and their net loss was only $91m.
  • All they need to do to be income positive is cut their research costs.

  • Also, if I had bought every major tech company daily breakout from IPO over the years I would no longer need to work...so let's learn from that.
  • 400m+ monthly active users that are heavily engaged in the platform is nothing to sneeze at.
  • I own the stock and playing calls every week for the foreseeable future.
  • META makes a lot of their ad revenue "off-platform", while RDDT is just starting to utilize that strategy (this is my armchair understanding).
  • At $13b market cap there's a ton of growth opportunity if management can execute.

  • This doesn't include any potential upside from AI, which I think could be a huge revenue driver.
  • They currently generate $33M quarterly from comtracts with Google and Open AI, but if AI and LLM's really do replace search over the next few years, and those LLM are reliant on RDDT's data, then I think RDDT will potentially be able to charge billions for their data.
  • They currently have 100M DAU (growing 47% YOY) and 1.2B MAU, so to achieve this need to increase engagement of current users, capitalize on their high ranking in Google search, and expand internationally, which they are doing via AI translation.
  • I think there is a huge upside that is obviously heavily dependent on management's ability to execute their strategy.
  • If Reddit can grow to 400M DAU, which I believe they can, and improve ARPU to $6, they will generate $9.6B revenue annually within 5 years.
