What would you consider memory companies like MU now, a trade or investment? I bought thinking the fundamentals were good, but the price seems to be suppressed due to a mix of AI uncertainty and bad macros. I'm not sure if the party is already over.

exactly, its very simple, institutions arent buying big calls right now and are day trading with tactical asset allocation to things like aapl or lly or consumer defensive. … theyll switch back to MU sndk with big money post midterm again.

Kioxia had weak guidance but thats because they are 30% consumer revenue, wheras sandisk is 3%, bullish for AI, memory, kioxia did a bad job compared to other memory companies like MU and skhy and not as smart as sandisk who just had a blowout quarter and blowout guidance. … After nov 3rd market will flip bullish even if theres a rate hike which will help bonds again too.

Semis are good and probably posed to remain good for some foreseeble feature, but if and when they lose their pricing power, whether due to increase in supply or decrease in demand, they will crash so hard. … But probably, the central banks will wait for something to break first and things to go very bad, otherwise they would be blamed to cause very high inflation.

Question regarding "order books" ASML and other chip makers
MU/Samsung: bent every customer over and gave it to them - this is the give and take of the memory space but this is stupid. … MU is set up pretty well cause they locked some stupid customers into existing contracts.

Totally agree. How the LITE board even agreed to go into talks is a mystery to me. … And no i dont think that it will go through, but i do appreciate the attention it brings to the optical sectors, especially after a huge correction in the sector.

It's also a new article talking about a week old drop. Annoying because thought my MU puts were going to print from this. This crap should be worthy of a temporary ban or something.

MU makes me sick. Had it for the longest time in my long port when it was way undervalued when it was hovering between 80.00-110.00....which was inly like 1.5 years ago! Now its 878.00!! That and Netflix are probably my two biggest regrets.
