Best F'ng buying opportunity in a while
It was never normal for massive companies like DELL/HPE/ INTC/ AMD to make a 30% move in minutes. … If AAPL follows the trend of the other companies on their earnings report Monday, and NVDA on the 17th, the market will be in trouble given they combined make up 14% of the S&P 500 right now.
Reducing my tech exposure, stock recommendations?
You can't win them all, but the pullbacks in 2018, 2020, 2024 (tariff tantrum) and 2025 (Iraq war) did wonders for my individual positions. … I'll be retiring 3 years early bc of my winners.
Apple Earnings Preview Discussion
AAPL's been acting like a safe haven from every AI and AI adjacent stock, and commands a 40 p/e which is insane for its level of growth. … There's obvious margin pressure going on due to NAND and DRAM prices going vertical, and their price increases have obv decreased demand too.
Weekend Discussion Thread for the Weekend of October 31-November 1
Not feeling confident about earnings from AAPL, AMD, QCOM, and PLTR. SMCI might be good though. I feel like the red will continue. I don't think the midterm elections are going to mean much no matter who wins.

But Berkshire's most epic win came from buying AAPL - which was Munger. … And it's worth pointing out, since Munger's death, Buffet sold billions in AAPL at ~$190 (currently trading for $350), and also bought billions in GOOG for ~$350 (currently trading for $280).
lol Jesus Christ. Only AAPL is safe. Everything is falling off a cliff at this point. GG everyone. I have no choice but to take the rest of the year off. -77k on stocks primarily Googl and AMZN and -65k in calls on various semis and mag 7s. All gains from the YTD has been wiped and in deep red territory.
Does anyone put all their money is the Nasdaq 100 and NOT S&P?
Yes, I am retired and have everything in NASDAQ (+ Mag7 individual stocks like AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, etc), it's always outperformed S&P since I've been in it (2005), although it is slightly more volatile (which is normal, you can't get higher high's without lower lows). … In addition to several $M in QQQ (NASDAQ) I moved a $1M to QQQi which pays monthly dividends (around 14% per year) which is what I can live on, although QQQi is also NASDAQ it grows slower in exchange for monthly dividends and a slightly (2%) lower downside when the market turn bear because it's using covered calls on…

Time to rotate out of the storage/memory/energy stocks into the mag7. They can't seem to please no matter how much they beat. FFS, Micron forward PE is 5 and SNDK PEG is 0.15? Meanwhile AAPL has a Forward PE of 40 and a PEG of 3.5. What kind of fking ignorant shit is that?
Studying finance has shown me that I probably can't beat the market and index funds are likely the better option.
You can beat the SP500, but don't expect to beat it by much, but even 2% over SP500 over time is huge. … But let's be honest, I bought names like NVDA, PLTR, AMD, AMC, MU, DELL.
I spent months backtesting everything on 41,000 MNQ bars. Here's why retail trading mostly doesn't work.
And the very simple strategies, like the 5 red candles thing, even if they worked are way too simple any algos arbitraged it away a while ago. … For many retail traders, a lot of their trading success is being situationally aware, and realizing what regime and market they're in.
I backtested one of the first strategies I was exposed to: the 3 Bar Play. After 764 trades and an out of sample test... it broke even.
Costs: $0.99 per order plus 1C/ of slippage per share. … Luck test: 4,000 sets of random twins (same stock, direction, time of day, target and costs, on random other days).

Anthropic just filed to go public. $16.3 BILLION in revenue in six months... and an $80.7 BILLION reported loss.
You can look at ANT and OpenAI revenue growth and growth rates - sure much of it has been speculative to this point, but the S-1 now reveals what should be true figures. … You can look PLTR revenue growth, which they leverage the LLM of your choice or something like CRM Agentic which is doing same and also growing.
S&P Stagnation And Other Recession Indicators.
GOOGL has never recovered from its dilution and AMZN has been trading at a sharp discount against its P/E in large part because they also went negative FCF. … MSFT on the other hand has been the stock of choice amongst the hyperscalers for the past few months as they are the singular one still positive FCF.
What Are Your Moves Tomorrow, October 26, 2026
MSFT is simply an AMZN with more risk in enterprise software and europe exposure. … META is great for the future, and I already have a large position.
Has anyone here successfully shorted the neocloud, quantum, or nuclear stocks?
Yea. I want to know I have a bunch in my back pocket, like PLTR, and then in 5-10 years or whatever it all blossoms. … OKLO, PLTR, NVDA, SMR, IMDX are my 'fun' stocks I keep adding to right now.
