Brent at $117 and the SPR has nothing left to give if this gets worse
I bought 50 shares of XOM in summer and regretting not buying more. That said, I rather have this stupid war over, no price volatility for some time. I also believe the middle east infra rebuild is easily 3+ years or more, and so the XOM stays.

I backtested one of the first strategies I was exposed to: the 3 Bar Play. After 764 trades and an out of sample test... it broke even.
Method. 22 stocks and ETFs: AAPL, AMD, AMZN, AVGO, BA, BAC, GOOGL, INTC, JPM, LLY, META, MRVL, MSFT, MU, NFLX, NVDA, PLTR, QQQ, SPY, TSLA, UNH, XOM. … Luck test: 4,000 sets of random twins (same stock, direction, time of day, target and costs, on random other days).
Why are oil prices up but oil stocks down right now?
People treat the stock as if it's a share price appreciation deal. … The interest on these positions at the retail level can be fairly prohibitive, like 11%.
