  • Serious question: why does SPCX deserve \~60x latest-quarter annualized sales while TSLA is around \~10x, MU is around \~6x, and SK Hynix is maybe \~4-5x?
  • I get the SpaceX story: Starlink, launch, defense, Mars optionality, Musk halo.
  • Compute is fragmenting: NVDA, AMD, ARM, AVGO, MRVL, AAPL silicon, hyperscaler ASICs, Intel trying to stay relevant, etc.
  • Training, inference, autonomous cars, servers, phones, PCs, NAND/storage -- all of it pulls DRAM/HBM/NAND demand.
  • So why does the market pay scarcity multiples for SPCX, but still price memory like old cyclical trash?

Then go ahead and short it. Being sold out through 2027 doesn't mean they "can't make more money....

  • It means demand is outrunning supply, giving producers stronger pricing power and revenue visibility.
  • Micron just broke ground on a massive $9.3B expansion in Hiroshima to increase advanced DRAM and HBM production.
  • New capacity takes years to build, which is exactly why supply will remain tight beyond 2027.
  • Every new AI data center needs enormous amounts of HBM, DRAM, and NAND.
  • The market still hasn't realized how massive this next wave of AI infrastructure spending will be for HBM, DRAM, and NAND demand.

  • I'd say the bubble bursting will be a bit of a contagion... To me, that means at least one (if not both) of OpenAI or Anthropic go under.
  • Depending on their exposure, NVDIA could be in a whole world of hurt if OpenAI/Anthropic can't pay their bills.
  • 4) Hyper scalers - goes without saying that MSFT, AMZN, GOOG, SPCX (lol), and META all take some massive hits to their share price, but they'll be okay long term... well, maybe not SPCX.
  • Private credit is already showing signs of cracking given the increasing use of PIKs from underlying holdings not being able to pay their bills.
  • 7) Retirees - they're gonna get fucked when all of a sudden their pensions/401ks massively drop in value.

DRAM had value because some Americans couldn't buy SKHY or Samsung at the time. These are pointless....

  • There's only real value in a momentum AI etf that includes photonics, neoclouds instead of just semis which is what currently is available-ish.

  • SOX Index was down -28% from peak to trough, with memory being hit even harder; DRAM ETF down -45% peak to trough, SK Hynix down -58% peak to trough on good fundamentals.
  • I can also see the dispersion, as stocks got beaten down but the fundamentals are still in tact and analysts upgrading price targets and EPS estimates.
  • I would still overweight semis, however it may stay choppy and painful for a while.
