Congrats on the print OP but holy shit HBM3e consumes like 3x the wafer capacity of normal DDR5 for ...

  • Mid tier PC OEMs are gonna get absolutely gutted on margins when they realize they didn't hedge their raw component costs, while random legacy memory players who don't even touch AI start printing money purely on commoditized scarcity pricing.

MU or SNDK which one looks better going forward? 1 0.9714 stocks

As a SNDK owner, I'd say MU. Not necessarily on the valuation perspective, but just on the business ...

  • (Note: that doesn't hurt SNDK as much as you'd think--when MU / Samsung / SK Hynix all start pivoting from NAND to DRAM, that means SNDK will benefit from the supply cut of NAND.)
  • But on the opposite end, if margins on NAND go up, MU has more capability to shift production to NAND, whereas SNDK (via JV with Kioxia) doesn't have much capability to increase capacity.
  • SNDK management has hyped their hyperscaler qualifications, but they need to be able to turn that into market share as they're #5.
  • My SNDK position will end soon due to a covered call soon to expire that went deep ITM.
  • They may have room to run, but I'm searching for greener pastures, or at least more safe ones.

SK Hynix - easy money or am I dumb? 1 0.8565 stocks

Samsung Electronics. SE + SK + Micron have an oligopoly on memory (NAND, LPDDR, DRAM, HBM). Samsun...

  • Samsung Electronics has an additonal foundry business (third behind TSMC and Intel).
  • Third place is a big deal because the entire non-China world has only there 3 foundries to synthesize all the froniter CPUs and GPUs needed for model training and inference.
  • SK is pure upside from the memory thesis, Samsung is more diluted (also has a consumer electronics busines), but the foundry business is a great additional angle, not a distraction IMO
  • Samsung Electro Mechanics is also involved in the AI buildout, but much less bottlenecked than memory, and has a double digit forward P/E already.

  • Hard drives will absolutely not be inside the physical body of a sex robot for the exact same reason they aren't in your smartphone: shock, vibration and battery drain.
  • The brain inside the sex robot's physical shell will run entirely on fast, rugged solid-state chips (NAND flash and DRAM).
  • However all that data, videos, backups, and memories you create fucking your sex robot will be shipped off to live in massive hard drive vaults of the cloud that will benefit SeaGate & Western Digital.
When MU going back to $100...? 1 -0.9446 wallstreetbets

  • Micron keeps getting lumped in with the Koreans because they're technically on HBM4, but realistically they're the most vulnerable out of the cartel because of their product mix.
  • Hynix and Samsung will be resilient to Chinese production and they're projected to have 80-90% of the entire HBM4 market by 2030.
  • If the industry research is accurate, Hynix is the superior memory play by far heading into Q2 2027 and beyond.
  • The only bear case there is that HBM3 and B200 prices fall so low relative to HBM4 that hyperscalers opt for 10x Blackwells over 1x Vera Rubin due to lower cost per inference token.
  • I suspect Hynix US listing is likely going to be a capital black hole that puts SPCX to shame.

  • And yes I bought CIFR exactly because they moved from crypto only which now quite stagnate.
  • I am a bit upset because I came late into bitcoin, but could invest into ETH, and not only that it completely stagnates, I also lost all the money.
  • So I clearly am not going to be supporting any type of cryptos.
  • I also quite like DRAM since they carry Asian stocks + MU.
  • Curious what you think about lithium batteries stocks?

  • Last week: was a consolidating week of trimming profits, rotating from multiple "hold profit" buckets into one bucket (sold all positions in SPXL, QQXL, TQQQ to put into SGRT), shedding some dead money from UGL (small loss but maybe I make that back by rotating into something more positive trending), watched SPCH come back down so I shed that as well.
  • This week: I guess Israel is messing up the peace agreement again so I'm bracing for a red start to the week.
  • Hope that SOXL DRAM KORU at least hold through the geopolitical nonsense.

  • i tend to agree with this, and i wonder how it'll affect DRAM etf pricing... yeah when SK Hynix ADR becomes available, i'm looking hard at getting some.
  • >The legacy DRAM shortage: Everyone is gutting their normal computer/server memory capex to build expensive HBM lines instead.
  • one problem with SK Hynix is that the chinese are now selling DDR5, and while it's at least a year away from making an impact on the market, it's coming and it could be one reason to think about diversifying into other memory companies, cover your bases.
  • * **General-Purpose DDR5:** Surprisingly, conventional DDR5 has recently dethroned HBM as memory's top profit engine for chipmakers.
  • Consequently, traditional DDR5 memory now delivers margins of roughly 80% due to lower relative production costs.
70k all in on DRAM. Not selling until $100+ 3 0.8765 wallstreetbets

The percentages for DRAM holdings fluctuate daily, but the typical breakdown is between 12 and 27%. ...

  • so SK Hynix, Samsung, Sandisk, WDC, the whole basket sells in sympathy because they are all the same trade, the commodity memory cycle.
  • The actual research shows non lottery stocks rise by 52 basis points during the 5-day window ahead of earnings, but that return spread reverses by 80 basis points in the 5-day window after earnings.
  • The counter argument applies, a genuinely strong HBM and DRAM pricing outlook can power MU straight through its run up regardless of base rate, which is the continuation scenario.
  • Good traders act on market reaction to thesis instead of betting on gut and averages.

  • Got lucky and chose to invest in Google around 190 with margin, and that 70 turned into 300.
