Have you ever liked a company so much that you bought its stock despite thinking it was overpriced?
There is some element of luck to this, but my best performing investments have been picks like these…
  • It's very difficult to generate outsized returns on companies that are easily quantified and low risk.
  • Being early to the party in NVDA, TSLA, or AMZN would have been incredibly difficult if you are investing based on valuation alone.
  • The best performing companies grow into their valuation by sustaining revenue and earnings growth at rates higher and longer than sellers are expecting.

  • Yes, it will take awhile but it will happen if the juice is truly worth the squeeze.
  • If companies actually make gobs of money from data centers / AI and can't get memory for them because Micron is booked for 3-5 years, they will start to design their own or competitors will emerge.
  • Some would say "but NVDA and AMD still cranked", yes there are caveats to any argument but also both had substantial stagnant periods and NVDA is doing BUYBACKS because there just is not much room to run when your company's value has a $T in front (which is now true of MU).
  • tldr, the theory of this being a moonshot if you hold for 5-10yrs faces plenty of headwinds too.

Citizens of Europe, I once again invite you to consider purchasing these fine American equities. …
  • If you want a precision timepiece that costs more than the GDP of a small African nation you go Swiss.
  • We took capitalism, sprinkled it with amphetamines and degeneracy, and turned it into a $50 trillion stock market.
  • Perhaps you're content with your nice, stable, bond backed pension fund, ticking up at 4-5% per year.
  • List your IKEA furniture on Facebook Marketplace or whatever the EU-compliant, privacy friendly equivalent you use is.
  • Norway, sink that big, dirty, sovereign wealth fund into NVDA.
