ASML has like a monopoly with TSM on the machines that make semiconductors. They are quiet important.

Good old days
Came true for semis but not going to last through Monday. INTEL going to start pumping before earnings with help from ASML and TSM.
ASML and TSMC report back to back this week, and I think ASML's own guidance has set a harder bar than people realise
Have 30 shares of TSM at $450, and 15 shares of ASML at $1780. I'm hoping for a 5-10% rise into earnings.

I believe Open AI will be the yahoo of the AI era.
I am sure that the Googles/Apples/Metas/Amazon's of the world would love to build their own fabs and control their own destiny. … Their moat will disappear. For those who think I am wrong about that, this concept is taught in 2000-level econ classes.

I don't even remember how but the position was, I held it for a couple of years and sold it for 0 gain or loss so only lost on the opportunity cost, but I do wonder if I held that position too :). … I feel I had a very solid thesis on ASML during the tariff selloff but was too scared to move.
