- The only thing on your list I'd quibble with is the U.S. pursuing austerity; it's possible, but fiscal conservatism in the U.S. is IMO moreso a political position than an economic one.
- And to put the tombstone in its grave, Trump casually suggested yesterday that inflation might wipe out the national debt.
- But I very much expect Trump to leave office either amidst or on the inevitable precipice of a disastrous economic situation, which makes it hard to be too confident in where any of this goes except for the obvious.
