In that situation, if it were me, I'd just put 25% in a mix of treasuries, 5% in GLD for inflation/currency debasement, 20% in VXUS and the rest in VTI.

you're not going to tame drawdowns with all-equity. you need low or negative correlations, and we don't see this between any funds you mention. the answer is seen in funds like GLD, DBMF and low-duration bonds.

Anyone else considering increasingly moving to short term govt paper in their tax-free accounts?
In that situation, if it were me, I'd just put 25% in a mix of treasuries, 5% in GLD for inflation/currency debasement, 20% in VXUS and the rest in VTI. … It's a cliche, but health isn't guaranteed, people die in their 50s, you've saved a lot, have some fun now.
