What a fucking day. I would've made nearly 20k this morning between IWM, QQQ and Crdo calls. I sleep…
  • I sleep in for the first time in a fucking century some of my calls were up but I got mad, insta sold everything and I revenge traded myself to a 5k hole, double down and got a pop to sell for a 40% gain.
  • I threw every cent into VST Oct 16 150c which I was down 25% on and 5 min later there is an announcement for a nuclear plant loan from the feds, instantly whole position 40% up.
  • Holding the rest of the contracts for next week came out with 6k.

  • All because the 2022 and parts of 2021 rules no longer work and they really haven't worked for 4 years now.
  • That 2023 stretch in like July-September (not sure exactly) had IWM struggling, but everyone else wasn't close to new bear lows.
  • The general rule of thumb since the Nasdaq bottomed from its worst bear since the financial crisis (honestly worked then too, but the rate rules did as well), is that the most interesting bad market moments have come with the Dow/everything ex tech doing well while the Nasdaq lags first for some time.
  • This route otoh has NOT worked.
  • Maybe things will finally change here, but I won't count on it until it occurs.

Better choice than VOO for 5-7 year horizon?
A good qualifite covered call fund would be my choice. QQQI 14% yield, SPYI 12%, IWMI 14%, and MLPI…
  • QQQI 14% yield, SPYI 12%, IWMI 14%, and MLPI 14%.These funds have a yeidl high enough that they should be vclose to doubling in value 7 years with all dividends reinvested.
  • Now the dividneds may go up and down with he market but they won't go to zero But VOO in a bad market can have negative earnings or ever zero for an extended period of time.
