What Reddit is saying
Appreciate it..For NFLX, don't you think it could potentially have a hard time because of competitors (Disney plus, Prime, HBO etc)?.I was thinking of opening a position but just not sure if it's as special of a company as before?A lot of value investors overly rely on P/E and miss the half about "wonderful businesses" when quoting Buffet..The fact you're lumping together MCD, NKE, and NFLX tells me you probably are just enjoying dunking on people investing in stocks in downtrends more than wanting to make a point..There is a lot of good conversation related to this subject..I criticize people in the VI sub all the time for outright dismissing using alternative metrics and DCAing down from forever with 30% of their portfolio in one stock..This post though ain't it.

- Sure, you have multiple ticker names, but let's be real, a large percentage of the movement is going to mirror one another.
- Top of list names are: \- ISRG: basically the Costco setup in scrubs
- \- NFLX: needs no explanation, people aren't going to stop watching shows, sticky business
- For me personally, I like to keep my high conviction bets between 4-7%, mid like 2-5, small like 1-3.
- I also work in the tech space, I have really high conviction on sk and mu over the next 3 years (think conservatively 20%+ cagr for next 3 years), as well as anet.
- If I was buying tomorrow, the following are all at good valutaions: ISRG, MELI, MU, SKHY, ANET, MCO/SPGI, NFLX

- UBER just seems unnesscary for me, kinda like NFLX.
- UBER is a widely recognized brand but what is the moat or path towards big growth exactly?
- Its business seems not that hard to replicate (as seen by companies like DIDI, Grab, etc).
- I have no problem downloading an App for Waymo if the prices and services are better than Uber.
- I don't think UBER will go bankrupt anytime soon but I don't see a bull case for big growth.
- AMZN a light yes, although Bezos will probably dump more sooner than later.
- WMT was overly expensive vs history, still not reasonable.
- ASTS perhaps worth a mild allocation in the $50's.
- I don't want NFLX, I'd rather TTWO.
- HSY no - there's stuff in CPG that has a decent stable of brands (CPG) but they keep getting obliterated by the fact that most of these names aren't well run and they continue to face a series of other issues (consumer stress, shitty/mediocre management, lack of innovation, GLP-1, etc.)
