What Reddit is saying
I trade a simple RSI mean reversion system on the TQQQ daily charts.

Better choice than VOO for 5-7 year horizon?
No risk: SGOV (3.6% annually, ties inflation) Low risk: VT (is a bet on the world economy, which I personally wouldn't participate in) Medium risk: SPYM/VOO (bet on America) High risk: SPMO, QQQM (bet on profitability of AI/tech sector) Crazy risk: QLD, SPUU (huge short term bet on tech/America) Genuinely do not do this: TQQQ, SPXL (yoloing everything and you would lose it all in a crash)

- I use TQQQ,SOXL mainly and follow them closely, wait for opportunity and bulk trade.
- Trading is not easy, it is like full time work, you analyze stocks/etf/market etc and try to make win with all probabilities.
- My only rule, avoid losses, make enough research and analysis before taking a trade and must win.
- I always assume that I am wrong when I enter first buy and have 30% chance to win, what are my ways to make it positive return!
- If my plan is concrete enough to come positive, I enter, otherwise I stay away from market (better peace of mind).

- after a couple months the drag can gobble most of the upside, so maybe a longer-dated LEAP or a 1:1 spread gets a better risk-return curve.

- Right now I have 20k shares with covered calls for 12/18 at a 90 strike for a 6% return.
- The election will split the house and senate and that's good for the market.
- AI is going to grow exponentially and be very disruptive.
- I expect the nasdaq to grow 20% over the next 12 months.

- A 1 **year LEAP call on TQQQ** makes the most sense when you believe all of these are true: **You expect a strong Nasdaq bull market over the next 12-24 months**, not merely "eventually."
- **You expect the move to be relatively sustained**, rather than a huge amount of sideways volatility.
- ** Deep ITM or moderately ITM calls generally make more sense for this thesis than cheap lottery-ticket OTM calls.
- **Implied volatility isn't extremely expensive** when you enter.
- You are comfortable losing **100% of the option premium** if the thesis fails.

- If I'm worried about the market I'll go cash or dump everything into QQQI like a savings account.
- If I think it'll pump back I move back into TQQQ to grab the rip.
- Then I've been buying 2-7 DTE calls but only on calm, low IV red days.
- I probably close too soon instead of letting winners run
