This. I was looking at SA's holdings as of 3/31, and he had something like 12 million NBIS shares. That level is a shit ton of outstanding market cap, for example.

  • I was in early on both and made money all the way up... sold 90% of my position in both and thenI mistimed reentry on the big dippity dips.. that weren't the end of the dips.
  • I'll go calls 2 weeks out on apld, selling calls that is.
  • NBIS waiting for earnings.

  • Well, if those stocks drop by a certain percentage (See NBIS SNDK BE) the brokerages will issue a margin call.
  • You either need to put more money in or they liquidate (sell) all your shares at once.
  • This does not specifically apply to Leopold as he had 4x leveraged funds where he got payments from banks etc.
  • way more technical than a simple retail margin call.

  • You're gonna have to accept slower growth for safer money management.
  • If I was in your shoes I'd take about 1k to use for options I'd drop the other 1k in a solid company that's down right now hell RDDT is a solid one right now or even Apple let that set don't touch it just let it appreciate over time then I'd use another 1k to buy options that are minimum of 1 month before expiration and look for swings.
  • Be patient and have that stop loss fr man that's the thing that's saved me most.
  • Once you build back up a bit take a portion for your riskier stuff but don't revenge trade and be smarter on your moves.

  • When the market tanked yesterday, AAPL hit ATH because they held little to no exposure in debt to AI infrastructure/ R&D, and subsequently it lead to helping the S&P balance out a little after Nvidia shit the fucking bed again.
  • Since the market was starting to rise today even before Apple posted earnings, it was already on a downfall because people were putting their money on AI stocks jumping back up again like NBIS popping ~30%, it didnt tank through good earnings because it wasn't enough, it tanked because it showed people the market is still stable enough to keep climbing for a little while longer at least, and they would be able to make money on AI companies like how Microsoft also figured out how to go up for once.

  • Also, Europe is panicking because they have fallen behind on this key technology.
  • So, you have this contradiction: AI is supposed to be "a bubble" but every leading company except Apple is investing in it.
  • And, you have significant AI related layoffs.
  • This leads to the possibility that retail investors believe AI shares will fall BECAUSE they have risen, not because the underlying business is unhealthy.
