What Reddit is saying
Not trying to call them out but have you seen the fat, lazy people in that drive-thru not to mention the people so fucking lazy they can't even get in their fucking cars to get that fat filled greasy food so they get it delivered..Now we see the same pattern: Burry throwing is millions earned off his substack at MCD in the mid $250s, but we could see MCD continue down over the next year and half until it, too, is in the low $100 range.

It's McDanks time
yep agreed. It's just out of rotation now in favor of other faster growth stocks. MCD will have its turn, possibly a good hedge or diverse play.

- A lot of value investors overly rely on P/E and miss the half about "wonderful businesses" when quoting Buffet.
- The fact you're lumping together MCD, NKE, and NFLX tells me you probably are just enjoying dunking on people investing in stocks in downtrends more than wanting to make a point.
- There is a lot of good conversation related to this subject.
- I criticize people in the VI sub all the time for outright dismissing using alternative metrics and DCAing down from forever with 30% of their portfolio in one stock.
- This post though ain't it.

- You and many others, investing in things in a downtrend is a bad idea.
- For those obsessively watching the market using TA and maybe even your own AI agents, you can often try to stay away from something until a more obvious trend reversal.
- On the other hand, VI investors were the ones buying Microsoft at $350 and GOOGL at $240 hand over fist and got similar profits you got on much higher risk growth stocks, except they got them on much stronger businesses.
- No VI investor worth their salt was at any point recommending NKE that I saw.
- But every stock that seems cheap gets posted on VI and a lot of bots are then used to pretend there is more interest than there often is.
