Been a bull until today. Time to call the bullshit so Puts on everything!
It's funny how they had both Calls and Puts and lost both ways. But looking at the strikes, SG calls will likely print since it's down 55% + bottoming and will likely bounce off $13/$14 in the next week or so. The rest of the stocks they bought Puts in are definitely overvalued but with short dated calls the Puts are likely fucked. Two year out Puts would likely print but people here think in terms of days/weeks with options.

those accounts have been chopping flat for 6 months despite contributions and I am sick of it, but some of that was my fault. … I don't want to paperhand and sell at a 6-month low when I intended to hold for at least a year or several but it is starting to really hurt.
If you had $100k to put into just one stock, what would you pick?
Had I invested the 100K being discussed in this thread in Feb20215 when I bought, the position would be worth about 1 million (and I didn't have DRIP turned on for the first 8 years). … I think AMZN and GOOGL are good to talk about in this discussion due to market penetration, staying power, multiple revenue streams, and a history of performance.

500k inheritance, should i invest now?
Toss 100k in SGOV, rest unto VT. That way you've got a huge cash allocation on hand for emergencies or safety or whatever.
For those investing in bond ETFs, what do you use besides SGOV?
If you're looking for a few extra percent without the long-term swing of something like TLT, consider floating-rate funds like USFR or TFLO - they stay in the ETF shape, give 1-2% better than SGOV, and move with rates, so they're pretty cash-equivalent. … And if you're willing to trade a tiny bit more credit exposure for headline-level safety, PAAA or JAAA (AAA-tranche CLOs) add roughly 4-5% on top of SGOV while still keeping the ETF convenience.

I guess the play is to just park your money in AAPL and SGOV. I am losing my ass on everything else.
