Decoding the leaked $XP Ponzi report.
TLDR. ---. Ticker: XP (Brazilian Investment Management Company). Direction: Down. Prognosis: Short. OP's Position: Successfully shorted XP; puts are gone. Reasoning: Leaked Hindenburg report (accidentally made public) alleges XP is a Ponzi scheme based on: unrealistically high returns (2492% in one fund!), auditor's inability to verify 92% of liquid assets, declining inflows, and extreme volatility in stress tests. Hindenburg has a good track record for catching fraud. Additional Notes: OP is feeling smug about their successful short. Hindenburg's accidental leak makes this even more juicy.

Weekend Discussion Thread for the Weekend of October 10-11
$MA, $V, and $AXP will hold up much better long term than the banks, so I'd probably go there. … AXP is still correcting, so if you're looking to go really long like that's the one on discount, whereas if you're looking for a swing trade V and MA are better.
I'm most interested in C and AXP after looking at all the major bank/finance stocks, but ngl I do have an inkling that BAC might be the better play.
