  • After a particularly stressful, 14-hour workday I called my wife and told her I was gonna stop by the options market and buy a couple MSFT calls OTM.
  • 45 minutes later I'm driving home from the bar and she berates me for 15-minutes, the entire drive, for failing to buy the dip on MU.
  • Why is it, the world can't leave me alone for half a fucking hour?
  • Why is it my responsibility to be everything for everyone all the fucking time?

  • MSFT had 18% top line growth, AMD 38% and AMZN 17%.
  • So what do the macro effects you mentioned matter when the revenues and profits of these businesses are growing?

  • People are overcomplicating it when really it's just the market getting spooked by vibes instead of fundamentals.
  • The OpenAI fear makes zero sense if you actually look at the deal terms.
  • MSFT basically has a safety net with that IP clause, and even if OpenAI implodes tomorrow they still have their own models and chips cooking.
  • Feels like one of those stocks where you just have to be patient and let the narrative swing back.
  • The Copilot numbers alone should start moving the needle eventually.

  • Do people really think MSFT has ethics and did this for Palestinians out of the kindness of their hearts lol?
  • I also think the generational gap between being pro Israel is widening, young people honestly just don't like what Israel is doing around the world.
  • Now there's honestly a real liability to doing business with the Israeli military.

Thanks for engaging in discussion - I wasn't giving it the importance it deserved. SaaS and genera...

  • SaaS and generally software stocks are definitely not keeping up with the pace of the rest because the whole point of the first phase of AI is to "make software cheap and accessible to all".
  • This is why MSFT and META are killed, while AMZ and GOOG are growing.
  • If you notice, most people at the frontier now just build their own custom apps for their own needs.
  • Does that mean AI will be able to scale to such a level that entire SaaS ecosystems will be able to be created (other than personal/small business solutions)?
  • We still don't know whether that will be a success, but clearly people are staying out of those companies, not crashing them, but being careful with their money.

  • These big growth tech stocks aren't trading at 300x P/E and are achieving real growth + huge order backlogs.
  • Even if the whole LLM/agentic product line constricts as the realities of the economics behind them land there's still going to be massive demand for data centers and chips, which makes stocks like MSFT, GOOG, AMD, NVDA, and TSMC safe investments.
  • I'm buying AAPL as a "hedge."
  • I'm also researching energy stocks that will benefit from the data center build out.
  • A lot of these are being supported by MW generators from companies like CAT who have years long backlogs that should also be bolstered by climate change concerns.

  • Replacing the software suite MAFT has seems like the easiest thing in the world but there's a reason it hasn't happened yet.
  • I can't say I'm smart enough to fully know the answer but have some ideas.
  • Maybe Google starts selling all their bundled services at a loss for market share and then raises prices later....but they also just don't have to do that and have a backlog and the stock price would dip if their profit margains dipped so....
  • After the last set of earnings before the ones we just got, MSFTs order book without OpenAI was bigger than AWS by $100 billion lol
